PWM-driven buck converter heater circuit

Intended to provide a high, but variable current from a battery to power a section of nichrome wire. Idea is to step down the voltage from a 9v battery in order to multiply the current. Multiplied current would circumvent the inherent internal resistance of the battery and seeks to limit power loss at the point of the battery.
