NE555 Autofire | Electronics Lab

Version 1 - Last update: May 2, 2017

Device able to reproduce the autofire function of a game pad. Designed to refurbish an old arcade cabinet where there is no possibility to implement this feature by software.

The NE555 timer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/555_timer_IC output a square wave to drive a transistor. When the device is on (slide the switch) if you press the button the led blink. This is used to save your thumb during hard play sessions. Keep press the fire button on your pad and you will shoot continually.
