L298n Arduino Shield | PCB Design

L298n Arduino Shield
Version 1 - Last update: Oct 4, 2015

making a shield for the l298n

The L298n is a cheap ($2.95 on Sparkfun), motor which has high current output capabilities (up to 4A), and can be controlled by TTL from the Arduino (5V ttl compatible).

There's a fair amount of wiring involved, as well as a combination of diodes, capacitors, and current sensing resistors (low resistance resistors).

Target platform

I will aim at first to target the Uno R3 platform, but will also create one for the Mega if allows.
